Family photography is about relationships and connections. Our families mean so much to us. As families grow, there is no better way to preserve the love between family than with a photograph.
Family sessions are relaxed and leave happy memories. We will plan your session together, including where it will take place and what to wear. All of the sweet, candid moments between family members will be captured also. Family sessions can be either posed in a studio or on location at local parks or beaches.

Getting to know you
I want to hear all about your family. I want to get to know each family member before the session so that we can begin the session with an understanding of meeting your goal. Each family is unique and each family session is different. Together, we will create beautiful works of art that you will cherish forever.
Deciding what to wear for a family photo session can be challenging. These are photos you are going to have forever. It can seem overwhelming at first, but it needn't be. After deciding on where the photos will take place, the decisions about what to wear begins. Long gone are the days when everyone wore matching clothes. I will help you decide along the way. I pride myself on making families feel comfortable in front of the camera. Whether in studio or on location in one of Orange County's beautiful parks or beaches, sessions are fun and relaxed. I will gently guide you into the most flattering poses. Poses are about capturing and celebrating moments of pure joy between family members.

2. Plan your session
After your initial phone call, we will meet to plan your session. When you book with us, we always begin with the end in mind. We’ll talk about what you envision for your session and we’ll design your session to complement your style and colors. The type of session and locations for your session will be discussed.
3. book your session
After you have decided on a date and a location, I will send you a contract to sign and an invoice to secure your session. When those items are completed, you are officially booked! I take a limited number of sessions each month, so it is best to book early.
I will send you a "What to Wear" guide and check out my blog ,"What to Wear to a Family Photo Session". We will go over your wardrobe choices
before the session. It is not complicated!
4. the big day!
The big day has arrived! Your family session will be relaxed and comfortable. I will guide you into relaxed, comfortable poses so you won't wonder what to do. You will spend time talking, laughing, and playing. Don't worry about your toddlers! I have lots of experience working with energetic toddlers. Memories and treasured photos will be created.
5. Enjoy your beautiful images!
Within two weeks of your session, we will hold a reveal session where final decisions will be made. We will help you sort through the images and decide what would look best in your home. We offer archival quality prints, exquisite wall art, custom heirloom albums, gifts and so much more.
The final edited images and products will be ready about three weeks after your purchase.
No need to pick up your products, they will arrive at your home.

Family sessions are relaxed and leave happy memories. I offer high quality, professional images and have a solid 5 star rating on both Google and Yelp.
To secure your spot, the session fee and contract must be received. These images will last a lifetime and will be passed on to future generations. Your investment at Diane Gabriel Photography is an investment in my years of training and expertise.
The session fee session covers my time and talent, wardrobe and props, as well as studio costs or needed permits. Digital images, prints and products are purchased separately.
How much you invest in your portrait session really depends on
your wants and needs. Get the products that you want! Albums, folio boxes, wall art, and digital images are available for purchase starting at $290. The typical client spends between $800 - 1,00, some a bit more, and some a bit less.
Hair and makeup is available for the mom for an additional fee.

Diane is artistic and passionate and captures amazing shots. We are so incredibly pleased with the photos that Diane did of our newborn baby girl. I was referred to Diane through a friend of a friend to do my newborn son’s photos. I was very thrilled with how quickly she responded from the very start and how communicative she was and that she checked in with me (preggo & mom brain made me very forgetful). I contacted her while I was still pregnant and then after I had my baby to set up his photo shoot and she was so helpful with giving information and answering all my questions. We decided to do our session in home because that was easier with a new baby. She came with so many options for props and backgrounds! It was so wonderful. She was patient with my baby and with me which was helpful especially when my baby ended up being fussy.
